I am waiting for my cousin to download some pictures for me and I will send them as soon as I get it.  Just so that you know, today (Jan.2nd) we scattered his ashes at sea under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.  That was to his request.  I have many memories of my father taking me there as a child.
 
Thank you so much for sending me the link and for passing on the news to the people he knew.  I was able to check the website out but my aunt wasn't around to translate it for me.  It was nice to see his Vietnamese name and I can tell that the T-28 was in reference to the aircraft that he once flew.  I think that was some of the best times in his life because he always had a big smile when he spoke of his time in the airforce.  My family chose his pilot picture and one of him next to the aircraft to be used in his funeral service.  So I will send that to you and a couple more recent photos as soon as I get it. 
 
I apologize that my lao is not very good and not proper.  I'm not used to speaking the language.  That's why I spoke lao/english to you.

Sorry it took a while but I just recieved the pictures right now so I am forwarding it to you.  Also, in your previous email you were asking for names.  My mother's name is Sangvorn Chaysavang (maiden). They had four children, 3 sons and I am the only daughter.  Sisuvan, Toutu, Suriyan and Paramy.  There's his pilot picture, one of him with his grand daughter from his oldest son and one taken more recently before he passed away.
 
Thank you so much for everything!  I feel so lucky that my father had a friend that I can communicate with in English.  I showed my auntie the website and she was in tears.  Thank you so much for translating it for me and my family.  It is very heartwarming and comforting to hear about my father from someone who knew him at an early age.  My father was a man with few words so sometimes it's hard to ask history or personal questions.  The only subject that he liked to speak of was his days in the Royal Lao Armed Forces.  He also spoke of you and another friend who is currently living in Laos near my grandmother's.  His Lao name is Bounthan and Vietnamese name is uncle Qui?  I am not sure how to spell either one.  I really admire the lifelong friendship that you have had with my father.  Even though there has been distance and time in between, you never forgot him.  Thank you for being a part of his life and memories.
